Movie OverviewSecret Window is a 2004 American mental thriller film featuring Johnny Depp and John Turturro. Effective creator Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp) endures a crazy break when his wife has an unsanctioned romance with a man named Ted (Timothy Hutton). He puts off settling the separation by withdrawing to his disconnected lodge in the rustic town of Tashmore Lake in upstate New York. Discouraged and experiencing a temporarily uncooperative mind, Mort is defied one day by the strange John Shooter (John Turturro), a Mississippi dairy rancher who blames him for counterfeiting. Shooter leaves Mort with his original copy “Sowing Season” which he affirms was duplicated. Mort releases Shooter as a neurotic and discards the composition, however his cleaning woman uncovers it from underneath the junk and presents it back to him. With his interest provoked.

Mort peruses the story and is amazed to find its similarity to his own story “Mystery Window”.During his walk the accompanying day, Shooter greets Mort when he clarifies his story was distributed years before Shooter’s existed.
